Two Informational Meetings for Updated QAC Critical Area Maps
The Critical Area Commission for the Chesapeake and Atlantic Coastal Bay will hold two public informational meetings with Queen Anne’s County GIS and Planning staff on hand to assist property owners with viewing and understanding the newly Updated QAC Critical Area Maps.
The first informational meeting is Wednesday October 1st, from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the Percy Thomas Center (Kent Island Senior Center).
The second meeting is Thursday, October 2, from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the conference room of Queen Anne's County's Planning and Zoning Office in Centreville at 160 Coursevall Drive. The Mapping Update will allow local Critical Area maps to be incorporated into the Maryland iMap System. This will result in maps that incorporate current aerial imagery, reflect current shoreline conditions and wetland locations. Updated maps will be made accessible via the internet.
