This recipe for honey butter sauce is great on toast, pancakes, french toast and I even put it on pound cake. Store in refrigerator. Can be put in 1/2 pint jars and given as a gift with a fresh loaf of bread.
Honey Butter Sauce
1 c. sugar 1 c. heavy cream 1 c. honey 3 sticks butter, softened 1 tsp. vanilla
In a medium saucepan combine sugar, cream and honey. On medium high heat stir until it comes to a boil and boil 1 minute.
Put the butter sticks in a blender and pour the hot mix over it. Blend on low speed until mixed well. I stop it a couple of times to check to make sure the butter is melted well.
Put in container(s) and cool in refrigerator.
