So - you can't live with your mate another minute and you want a divorce?
Well, if I file for divorce for you, that is if you have accepted grounds for divorce in Maryland, you and your mate must live separate and apart, in two separate houses for one year, before an Absolute Divorce can be granted by a Court.
Grounds for a Divorce include:
Living separate and apart in separate homes for one year, by consent or without consent.
Cruel and inhuman treatment such as to make it impossible to continue to live together, because your health and welfare would be seriously damaged.
Abandonment for one year would work or your mate's incarceration for more than one year.
PLEASE see a lawyer - do not try to do a divorce by yourself, especially if you have children, property and money.
