FIRST RESPONDERS APPRECIATION DAY TO BE HOSTED BY KENT ISLAND YACHT CLUB PRINCESSES
Proceeds to benefit Anne Arundel Medical Center Neonatal Care Unit
On April 25 from 11-3 pm, the Kent Island Yacht Club and Club Princesses will say “Thank You” to our First Responders who serve and protect those who live and work in our community. The event is free to the public and provides a rare
opportunity to express appreciation for the services provided by First Responder groups, including the Kent Island Fire Department, the Grasonville Fire Department, the United Communities Fire Department, the Queen Anne’s County Department of Emergency Services, the Department of Natural Resources, the Maryland State Police Department, the Maryland State Department of Emergency Response, the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Department, and the United States Coast Guard.
The event will include demonstrations by First Responders and a vendor craft show and sale. Also on display will be First Responder equipment for attendees to enjoy up close. Posters by young people ages 3-13 will be on display, depicting our First Responders’ day-to-day work.
The Cook Shack will be open for food and beverages, with proceeds going to the Princess Fund and its designated charity, the Anne Arundel Medical Center Neonatal Care Unit.
First Responders Appreciation Day will be held at the Kent Island Yacht Club, 117 Yacht Club Drive, Chester, MD 21619. For more information on the event, call 410-643-4101, or visit the Club’s website at www.kiyc.org or its Facebook page at www.facebook.com/KentIslandYachtClub .
