AUDITIONS SET FOR CHURCH HILL THEATRE’S NOVEMBER PRODUCTION OF WAIT UNTIL DARK
Set in a Greenwich Village apartment, Wait Until Dark is a tense thriller about Susy Hendricks, a recently blinded housewife who unwittingly possesses a doll filled with illicit drugs. Woven into the story are secret identities, murder, and a cruel cat-and-mouse game between the blind woman and the trio of criminals who stalk her in order to get the doll. Written by Dial "M" for Murder playwright Frederick Knott, Wait Until Dark was turned into the 1967 film of the same name, starring Audrey Hepburn as Susy Hendricks and Alan Arkin as Harry Roat. In 1998, the play was revived on Broadway, and starred Marisa Tomei as Susy and Quentin Tarantino as Roat. Auditions for the Church Hill Theatre's November production will be held on Tuesday, July 28th and Thursday, July 30th at 6:30 PM, and Saturday morning, August 1st at 9 AM.
