Yoga for Cancer Workshop Series at Aquafit in Chestertown, MD
Location: 818 High Street, Chestertown, MD
Dates: Tuesdays, September 15 through October 6, 2015
Time: 5:30 – 6:30 pm
Cost: $50 to pre-register for all classes; $15 walk-in
Who should participate?
Cancer survivors and patients who have experienced stress – before, during or after the diagnosis - that are interested in learning how yoga can assist with healing on a physical and psychological level.
Class description:
The Yoga for Cancer workshop series will address the physiological benefits of yoga practice on the body and mind. Each class will address a specific issue, including lymphedema, neuropathy, constipation and digestion and rebuilding strength in the muscles and bones, and will teach a practice that can help to heal the symptoms.

In 2008 when two family members were diagnosed with cancer, Julie’s yoga practice was her source for comfort, strength and mindfulness to handle life’s difficult moments. As a caregiver, yoga gave her the strength to focus and mindfully support her family.
