Before I even give you the recipe I have to tell you that you do not need a panini press to make this sandwich. Just use a hot skillet and cover a clean brick in foil to sit on top of the sandwich. Don't forget to flip them though, 4 minutes on each side is plenty. Maybe even 2 or 3 minutes depending on how hot the skillet is. I hope you try and like this flavorful sandwich.
Cuban Panini
1 loaf baguette bread, cut into 4 pieces 4 tbsp. Mustard 2 large deli dill pickles, sliced thin 12 slices of your favorite ham 4 c. Shredded pork 4 c. Sliced Swiss cheese 4 tbsp. Butter
Slice the 4 pieces of baguette bread down the middle but not all the way thru. Speed 1 tbsp of mustard on the bottoms then layer an equal amount of pickle slices then the Swiss cheese. Place 4 slices of ham on each then spread 1 tbsp butter on the top of each baguette. Top the ham with the pork. Close and heat on the panini press or in the skillet.
