Wye River Upper School Presents Dr. Duke Thompson as Abraham Lincoln
Dr. Duke Thompson will depict Abraham Lincoln at Wye River Upper School in Centreville on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 7 pm. Dr. Thompson portrays Lincoln returning from 150 years in the world of the spirit to share with today’s audiences what music did for him during his life as the 16th president of the United States. Along with Civil War music the audience will enjoy blues, original, rock and classical music. Dr. Thompson holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from Arizona State University. His past experiences range from arranging Classic Rock tunes for artists including The Who, Yes, and Billy Joel; to recording a Greatly Gershwin CD in honor of Gershwin’s 100th birthday; to performing with orchestras in Canada and the United States. The presentation is open to the public and tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at www.wyeriverupperschool.org.
