Most photographers want to successfully capture every moment of your special day and rightfully so. However, you should keep in mind that the longer the photographer takes with your posed shots the longer your guest wait. I was recently at an outdoor wedding and because the photographer had no boundaries he kept taking pictures while everyone was baking in 90 degree weather. A good way to avoid this problem is to give your photographer a list ahead of time of the photos that are most important to you. You should also give the photographer (and all your vendors) a schedule of the entire day and try to stick to it.
