Oh my goodness...if you like onions or you like to order onion soup out try this recipe. This is very easy to make and I did change it up a tad and it turned out perfect. I did everything in a shallow Dutch oven and after I added the beef broth I put it on a burner and boiled the soup for 5 minutes. I baked a gluten free French baguette and sliced it. I placed the slices on the soup(the entire Dutch oven of soup) and sprinkled grated parmesan on them then I sprinkled a cup of mozzarella cheese. I put the oven rack as close to the top as possible to fit the Dutch oven and broiled it for 5 minutes. Oh also I wanted to let you know I used 2 large vidalia onions.
My husband has never had onion soup and he loved it! This recipe is a keeper!
