Menu Faux Pas If you are hosting a get-together and need to plan the menu, try avoiding some common mistakes to make things easier for you and your guest. First, never put a new recipe on the menu. If there is something new you would like to serve, try a practice run a few days before. Also, don’t underserve. If you are questioning how much food to prepare always go with more. If there are leftovers send some home with your guest. You should also keep your guests’ dietary needs in consideration. Check beforehand to see if anyone is a vegetarian or gluten free. Lastly, if cooking seems overwhelming call a caterer. Most caterers will work with any budget.
